Majority of Iowa Senate Signs Iraq Resolution

By Danielle Plogmann

AP - A majority of the state Senate has signed on to a resolution opposing President Bush's policies on Iraq.

The resolution says the U.S. military is now "dangerously weakened.''

The measure, which is non-binding, was backed by 28 of the 50
senators, all Democrats.

It notes that troops sent to the region have served bravely but
are burdened by a flawed policy.
