WASHINGTON, D.C. - As more troops ready for deployment, Iowa's two senators are working to help soldiers who make it home.

Chuck Grassley and Tom Harkin introduced a bill that would force changes in the Department of Veterans Affairs. Those changes include training employees to notice risk factors for suicide, and developing a support program for veterans.

The bill is inspired by Joshua Omvig. The Grundy Center man committed suicide in 2005 after serving in Iraq.
