LINN COUNTY - Linn County supervisors continue to feel the heat of public frustration with a proposed ordinance that would place new limits and standards on wood-burning boilers.

It would require a 15-foot smoke stack for boilers in rural areas and a smoke stack *higher than any neighbors house* in residential areas.

Some people attended a public hearing at Roosevelt Middle School Tuesday night to talk about their concerns over the ordinance.

They say they face higher costs and maintenance to bring their boiler units into compliance with the rules.

The supervisors have scheduled other public readings of the proposed ordinance on August 26th and 31st and on September 2nd.
