Task Force Looks to Lower School Districts' Property Taxes

DES MOINES - A task force is recommending the state spend at least $25 million more a year to help lower local school districts' property taxes.

Governor Culver formed the task force to study Iowa's commercial property tax rates, which are higher than in neighboring states.

Some feel that may keep businesses from coming to Iowa.
