PALO - Palo will form a town water board after voters approved it Tuesday night. Voters in Palo approved forming the water board by a vote of 222 to 160.

Establishing a water board could be a first step towards a public water system. That became an issue during the floods when the town's wells became contaminated for up to two months.

Residents voted down a public water system twice in the past.
