CEDAR RAPIDS - Mediacom and Sinclair Broadcasting face another midnight deadline in the dispute involving 250,000 Iowa cable customers.

CBS affiliate KGAN-TV will get pulled from Mediacom cable's offerings at midnight unless a retransmission deal is reached.

A top Mediacom official says the only way to avoid disruption may be arbitration.

"Unless Sinclair accepts binding arbitration or accepts any of our seven offers or agrees to extend, at midnight Sinclair stations on Mediacom systems will go dark," said Rosso Commisso, Mediacom CEO.

Sinclair has not responded yet to the arbitration offer.
