Overnight Crash Kills Cedar Rapids Man

CEDAR RAPIDS- A one-vehicle crash killed a 29 year-old Cedar Rapids man.

It happened right around 2:15 a.m. on Interstate 380 at the Highway 30 interchange. That exit was closed for several hours while crews cleaned up, but reopened around 5:30 a.m.

Police aren't sure which direction Joshua Benson was going to go on highway 30, but know that he lost control and struck a utility pole.

Benson was pronounced dead at the scene. Cedar Rapids Police continue their investigation.
