Gov. Talks I-Jobs in Dubuque, Money for SW Arterial

DUBUQUE - Governor Culver was in Dubuque Tueday to discuss his I-Jobs program. He also had a special announcement for city leaders there.

As part of I-Jobs, Dubuque will receive money to help build the proposed Southwest arterial. That road would connect traffic from the west side of Dubuque to the south side of town. Governor Culver told TV9, "Through the I-jobs program, Dubuque will receive about $860,000 in addition to the 17 almost 18 million through the Department of Transportation Commission."

The city says the southwest arterial project is currently in the design phase.
