Cedar Rapids Movie Theater Evacuated

CEDAR RAPIDS - An overheated popcorn machine forced the evacuation of a Cedar Rapids movie theater.

Firefighters were called to Galaxy 16 Cine, 5340 Council St. NE, shortly after 7:30 p.m. after the machine started smoking.

Firefighters used fans to vent the smoke and got the theater reopened for the late show.
