Iowa Falls Teen Dies from Accident Injuries

IOWA FALLS - A 19-year-old Iowa Falls man is dead after a one-vehicle accident in Hardin County.

The Waterloo-Cedar Falls Courier reports that 19-year-old Damon Lyle Wood of Iowa Falls died Friday of injuries he received in an accident Wednesday.

The accident happened shortly after three o'clock Wednesday afternoon along MM Avenue near Keystone Avenue. Woods was traveling southbound along MM Avenue when he failed to make a curve, his truck left the road, went into a ditch and struck a tree.

Wood died at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.

18-year-old Derek McDaniel, also of Iowa Falls, was injured in the accident. He was taken to Ellsworth Hospital in Iowa Falls.
