Hampton Man Injured in Motorcycle Accident

HAMPTON - A Hampton man is hospitalized after a motorcycle accident Friday afternoon in Floyd.

The accident happened along Highway 18 at the 215 mile marker. The Iowa State Patrol says 62-year-old John Witcraft was traveling westbound on the highway when it drifted off the road into the median. Witcraft went over the handlebars in the accident, however the extent of his injuries are not being released at this time.

Officials say the investigation is ongoing.
