CEDAR RAPIDS - A man was sent to the hospital after a van struck his motorcycle in Cedar Rapids Thursday night.

Police said a motorcyclist was westbound on F Avenue NW at around 7:10 p.m. when a van, which had been sitting at a stop sign at Westwood Drive NW, pulled out in front of the motorcycle, striking it and sending it onto its side.

A man was taken to St. Luke’s Hospital by ambulance for non-life threatening injuries. The driver of the van was charged with failure to yield at a stop sign.
