Iowa Jailer Charged With Assaulting Prisoner
ADEL (AP) - A former Dallas County jailer has been arrested on charges he sexually abused a female prisoner at the county's jail.
Fifty-eight-year-old Kevin Hines of Perry was arrested on Thursday and charged with third-degree sexual abuse and sexual misconduct on an offender. Court records show that Hines was employed at the jail on Dec. 6, 2008, when he allegedly committed a sex act by force and against the will of an adult female who was incarcerated at the jail in Waukee.
