Thomas Honored on Sports Illustrated Cover

CEDAR RAPIDS - Iowa knows about former Parkersburg football coach Ed Thomas, but now the country will know more about the man.

Thomas will be featured on the cover of Sports Illustrated this week. The title reads "A Good Man Down: Tragedy in the Heartland".

The story is written by Sports Illustrated senior writer Lee Jenkins. The title "He was the rock that his community was built on."

The cover story about coach Thomas on sports illustrated will be out later this week.
