CEDAR RAPIDS - An overnight stabbing in Cedar Rapids sent one person to the hospital.

Authorities say it happened at Cambridge Townhomes located at 2047 North Towne Place, shortly before 1:00 a.m.

Police report that an argument broke out between Damia Cungtion, 16, and the victim, Anthony Morrow, 15, both of Cedar Rapids. It escalated and police say Cungtion started hitting Morrow on the head. Police say other people in the apartment tried to separate the two, but Cungtion got a knife from the kitchen and stabbed Morrow in the left arm and his right lower leg.

Cungtion left the apartment on foot but was found by police a short time later in the 2100 block North Towne Ln NE. While in custody, Cungtion complained of chest pains so she was taken to St. Luke's Hospital. She was treated and released to police. She was charged with Willful Injury, which is a Class C Felony, and taken to Linn County Detention.

Morrow was treated at Mercy Hospital with stitches and released.
