AP Player: Becker Was Denied Coaching Job

PARKERSBURG - Officials released very few details about Becker. We do know he was a football player under Ed Thomas when he was a student at Aplington Parkersburg.

Several sources tell us Becker recently applied to be an assistant coach under Thomas but didn't get the job.

"Yes, Mark was turned down partially because we have a lot of people already under contract. We have so many coaches. We have something like 14, 15 coaches. I mean, there was no spot for him," said AP football player Justin Bruce.
