Dubuque Offers Free Yard Waste Collection Next Week

DUBUQUE, Iowa – Due to the damage inflicted on Dubuque’s trees by this morning’s severe storm, the City of Dubuque will provide free yard waste collection service the week of June 22nd – 26th.

Pickup will be on the normal day of service. All regular requirements for setting out yard waste at the curb or alley line in containers or tied bundles still apply:
• All yard waste must be set out by 6:00 a.m. and not weigh over 40 pounds per container or bundle.
• Materials must be in paper yard waste bags, rigid containers not exceeding 35 gallons capacity, or tied in bundles that do not exceed 5 feet in length or 40 pounds in weight.
• The tied bundles of sticks, branches and limbs must not exceed 18” inches in diameter.

Residents with debris that is too large to qualify for City yard waste collection are encouraged to contact private tree services for removal.
