Prairie Du Chien Man Killed in Crash

GRANT COUNTY, WI - One man is dead and another has been charged after an crash in southwest Wisconsin. The crash happened just before 2:45 Sunday morning about a mile west of Rail Hollow Road.

The sheriff's office says Chase Cooper, 20, of Prairie du Chien lost control of his truck on a curve. The vehicle hit a tree and then rolled.

Cooper's passenger, Jason Hutschinson, 29, also of Prairie du Chien, died at the scene.

Officials say the men were not wearing seat belts at the time of the accident.

Copper has been charged with Homicide by Intoxicated use of a Motor Vehicle.
