Grant Co. Man Arrested for Fleeing Police, 8th OWI

GRANT CO., WI - A Wauzeka man is facing numerous charges after fleeing from police Saturday.

It all started around 1:10 Saturday afternoon when a Grant County Sheriff's Deputy attempted to pull over a speeding vehicle along Highway 18 in Fennimore Township. The driver of the vehicle was able to get away from the deputy. Later, law enforcement officials in Iowa County, Wisconsin, spotted the car but were unable to stop it. Police later spotted the car and arrested the driver.

34-year-old Daniel Peters is charged with eighth offense O.W.I., knowingly fleeing an officer, second offense operation after revocation, probation violation & speeding.

Peters was taken to the Grant County jail.
