The discovery of abuses against disabled workers living in an eastern Iowa bunkhouse shocked state officials.

Now, Iowa Senator Tom Harkin wants to make sure it doesn't happen elsewhere.

In February, officials discovered 21 disabled men living in unsafe conditions in Atalissa and making just pennies per hour at a turkey processing plant.

Wednesday, Harkin announced the U.S. Department of Labor agreed to increase oversight to prevent companies from taking advantage of disabled workers.
