Vinton Gets Buyout Money

VINTON - Federal officials will award more than $1.6 million dollars to the city of Vinton for buyouts.

The money will go towards purchasing and demolishing homes the Cedar River and Hinkle Creek flooded last June.

The city plans to buy 29 properties and make the land greenspace.
