CEDAR RAPIDS - Imagine how many steps you take in one day. Now imagine losing your ability to walk.

Worldwide, there are millions of people who need help with that seemingly simple task. That’s why "Wheels for the World" is collecting wheelchairs, aluminum crutches and canes, foldable walkers and jogging strollers.

Those items are then sent to people with living disabilities in developing countries. “Wheels for the World” also appreciates monetary donations. It costs $150 to restore and deliver each wheelchair.
