CEDAR RAPIDS (AP) - A hearing is scheduled for next week for a Cedar Rapids woman charged with vehicular homicide after a cab driver was killed during a police chase.

Police say Connie Gates, 36, was driving a stolen car that ran a red light and crashed into a taxi driven by Richard Dankert, 76, last week. He died later at a hospital.

Gates faces a handful of charges including vehicular homicide, operation without owner's consent, driving without insurance, possession of crack cocaine and marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Court records show Gates' bond was set at $100,000. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for April 6.

The Linn County Jail confirmed Monday that Gates had not yet posted bond.
