An early morning car crash claimed the life of an Oxford teen.

And two other teens from North Liberty had to be flown to University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.

It happened just before three this morning on 340th Street, just west of Half Moon Avenue in Johnson County.

At the crash site, you can see where the car ended up in a cornfield.

The Iowa State Patrol reports the driver lost control of the vehicle, the car went into the ditch and rolled.

The state patrol has not released any of their names yet.

TV-9 spoke with the principal of Clear Creek Amana High School.

Tom McDonald says 17 year-old Lisa Adams was a senior at the high school and died in this morning's crash.

He also says the two other teens in the hospital are also students at his high school.

Counselors were on hand Saturday to help the students cope.

The principal says she was a lively and popular 17 year old.

He says today near a hundred students have stopped by the school to talk with counselors.

Adams is pictured in the yearbook for playing volleyball and soccer.

Her principal says she always had a big smile on her face.
"They're all our kids and they're all very special to us. It's just a tragic day when one of our family is lost,” says Tom McDonald, the Clear Creek Amana principal.

This week is spring break at the school- the principal says they're going to be open and have counselors on hand to help students cope.

The names of the 16 and 18 year old students that were air-lifted to UIHC are not being released at this time.

The principal says one is in critical condition- the other is in serious.

Donations are being accepted for Lisa Adam's family.
