DES MOINES (AP) - Jury selection is under way in Sioux City in the trial of two former Creston police officers accused in the rape of a woman at a country club.

The trial for former Police Chief James Christensen and former Assistant Chief John Sickels began on Tuesday.

It was moved from Union County in southern Iowa to Woodbury County in northwest Iowa because of pretrial publicity.

The men were charged in June with second-degree sexual abuse and later fired from the police department.

Investigators allege that Sickels raped a woman behind the bar of the Crestmoor Golf Club last April while Christensen watched.
