State Cuts Lead to Court Furloughs

CEDAR RAPIDS - State budget cuts are affecting the court system. Next Monday all offices for Iowa's sixth judicial district will be closed.

That affects the district court in Benton, Iowa, Johnson, Jones, Linn and Tama counties.

All jury trials initially scheduled for Monday are moved to Tuesday.

All other trials and court hearings scheduled for Monday will be rescheduled at a later date.
