Two Cedar Falls Businesses Fail Tobacco Compliance Check

Thirty-one Cedar Falls businesses were part of a tobacco compliance check on Thursday.

The Cedar Falls Police Department conducted the checks to educate local retailers and enforce tobacco laws.

Both Kum and Go and Prime Mart on Main Street were cited for a sale of tobacco to a minor.

The fine for employees who sell tobacco to a minor is one hundred dollars, plus fifty dollar court costs and a surcharge of thirty-two dollars.
