By Daren Sukhram

HAMPTON (AP) - A former teacher's assistant in the Hampton-Dumont school district has pleaded guilty to having sexual contact with a 14-year-old girl.

Tyler Radcliffe, 22, pleaded guilty to sexual exploitation by a school employee. Sentencing on the aggravated misdemeanor charge is set for March 9 in Franklin County District Court.

A more serious third-degree sexual abuse charge against Radcliffe was dropped.

Trial was scheduled to begin on Tuesday.

Police say the incident happened in August 2007 when the girl went to Radcliffe's apartment during his lunch hour.
