More People Die on Iowa Roadways Over Holiday

DES MOINES - Nine people died on Iowa roads over the Labor Day weekend. That's up three from last year.

But the Department of Public Safety says August as a whole had the fewest number of fatalities in five years.

Here are some other holiday traffic enforcement stats from the State Patrol: 1,632 speeding tickets, 450 seat belt tickets and 36 OWI arrests.
