John Deere Layoffs at Dubuque Plant

DUBUQUE (AP) - Deere & Co. is announcing more layoffs at its Dubuque plant.

John Deere Dubuque Works says it will indefinitely layoff another 40 people as a result of economic conditions. The company announced the move on Tuesday and says the job cuts are effective Feb. 9.

The layoff are expected to affect production workers with the
least seniority.

The move brings the number of people on indefinite layoff to 188
at the Dubuque facility.
