Cedar Rapids Schools get On-Line Lunch AccountsBy Dave Franzman, Reporter
CEDAR RAPIDS - The "forgot-my-lunch-money" excuse won't work any longer in the lunch line at Cedar Rapids Schools.
The district today launched an online payment service to pay for meals. Parents who sign up on a website can use credit or debit cards or put lunch money in a student's account. And the service will even let parents track how much students are spending and what they're buying to eat. "We think a lot of families, we're hoping a lot of families will take advantage of it," said Suzy Ketelsen C.R. Food Service Manager. The special lunch deposit is available through the Cedar Rapids School District's Website here. More Good Stuff |
