JOHNSON COUNTY - A battle between two Johnson County high schools has decided the sumo car champion.

A group of students from West High and City High faced off in the second annual sumo car competition Wednesday.

It's a unique contest that combines an Asian sport with modern-day technology in this fun-filled rivalry.

Teacher Dominic Audia says,"It's meant to simulate a sumo wrestling competition. Cars have to push the opponent out of the ring "

Each car costs three thousand dollars to make.

The winner of Wednesday's sumo competition, City High, gets bragging rights for the next year.
