LINN COUNTY - An Anamosa man is dead after a two-vehicle collision on County Home Road. It happened just east of Stone Road at around 11:12 a.m. Tuesday.

Emergency crews arrived to find a 1993 white Ford Taurus in the middle of the road with extensive damage. Officials say the driver, Donald Russell Etten, 57, was killed and trapped inside the car.

The other vehicle, a 2008 Ford pickup, was also in the middle of the road. The driver, Patrick Cummings, 61, of Cedar Rapids, was outside of his truck walking around and refused medical attention.

Linn County Sheriff Brian Gardner says they appear to have hit head-on.
