IOWA CITY - Iowa City police say no one was seriously hurt in Wednesday night's crash that shut down westbound Interstate 80.

The crash happened around 7:30 p.m. on the city's east side.

Police say traffic was slowing down for a vehicle in the median.

That's when a semi rear-ended an SUV, forcing that driver to hit someone else.

Two people were taken to the hospital for treatment.

The accident closed the road for about two hours.
