MARSHALLTOWN - Investigators release the names of two people shot and killed in Marshall County, and the name of the man accused of murdering them. It all began around 5:30 Friday night at the intersection of Highway 14 and 130th street just north of Marshalltown.

That's where 24 year old Jessica Deemer of Waukee and 24 year old Bryce Mercer of West Des Moines we found shot to death. 27-year-old Kyle Deemer of West Des Moines is charged with 2 counts of first degree murder in the killings.

KCCI-TV in Des Moines reports the suspect's vehicle was spotted by the Eldora Police Department. After a chase, the suspect lost control and fled on foot. He was captured a short time later.

The arrest comes after a search from the ground and air for the suspect. The identity of the person in custody and the two victims has not been released pending notification of family members.
