CEDAR RAPIDS (AP) - An eastern Iowa man accused in the death of his girlfriend's 2-year-old daughter has pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder and child endangerment.

Lee Muldoon, of Coggon, was arrested last month in the death of Skylar Inman. He entered his plea on Monday in Linn County District Court. A trial date was not immediately set.

The girl died at the hospital on July 12, a day after she was found unresponsive.

Authorities say she died of multiple blunt force injuries.

Muldoon remains in jail on a $1 million bond.
