NORTH LIBERTY - Police responded to an armed robbery early on Monday morning in North Liberty.

At about 4:18 a.m., police say the suspect showed a knife and demanded money at the Gasby's BP Station on Hawkeye Drive.

The suspect is described as a white female, 5'6" to 5'9" tall, between 20 and 30 years of age and between 160 and 180 pounds. She was wearing white shoes, black sweat pants and black hooded sweatshirt, worn backwards.

The suspect fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.

Any information can be given to the Iowa City Area Crime Stoppers at 358-TIPS or the North Liberty Police at 626-5724.

Um...this is the first person that replied as kmm...not the second lol...anyway, she cant be a mud shark because while she is white, the guy working (my bf) is not black...he is also white. And it doesnt say her shoes were on backwords it says her hoodie is. DUH! The cops actually told my bf that he did the right thing by not attacking, because if he had hurt her, since she is a female...he would have gotten in trouble for assault...plus if he killed her she wouldnt go to jail...id rather that

Most store employers tell their employees not to resist or try to be a hero. Thus avoid being injured or worse.

All the more reason citizens need to arm themselves. The police simply cannot be everywhere! If Obama gets elected you'll see a whole lot more of this type of stuff!!

This town is going to the dogs...We have a "police force" that doesn't do anything but sit with a radar gun and look the other way at real crimes. All these gas stations are going to prepay, yet if there is a drive off, the station won't call the cops to get the license number and face. What's the point of the cameras then? I think everyone is too lazy and we all have to gamble to fill up at the pump. I know that the 2 stations in Solon are not prepay. Who'll join me in boycotting the prepay?
