Riverside Slot Machines Arrive

RIVERSIDE - It's starting to look a lot like a casino.

More than 1,000 slot machines arrived at the Riverside Casino and Golf Resort on Friday. Casino officials mapped out where to put each machine months ago, and the casino still isn't set to open for another 90 days.

"We bring the machines in early because there is a lot of assembly work we need to do and auxiliary parts to put in them," said casino general manager Joe Massa. "They don't come out of the box ready to plug and play."

The casino is planning to be open the first weekend in September.
