Iowa City Tornado Bills Pile Up

IOWA CITY - The bills are still piling up from last month's tornado that ripped through Iowa City. Along with $4 million in damages, the city has racked up more than $700,000 in expenses. That's from cleanup costs, traffic light replacement, and paychecks for emergency workers.

The city is hoping FEMA will repay 85 percent of those expenses.
