CEDAR RAPIDS - Police are investigating a shooting in Cedar Rapids. It happened at Arrow Ridge Apartments at 5150 16th Ave. SW, off Johnson Avenue and Leroy Street around 11:00 a.m. on Thursday. Late Thursday night investigators said 38-year-old Andre Springfield from Cedar Rapids was shot in the leg while in a car in the 100-block of Edgewood Road Northwest. Springfield was treated at Mercy Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries. Police traced a car reported at the scene and arrested three people at the Arrow Ridge apartments on Johnson Avenue South West. One of whom is 31-year-old Kevin Eugene Lee, his address was unavailable to police. Lee is now charged with going armed with intent because of the shooting. Police didn't say if Lee was the shooting suspect. Earlier in the day police said they had arrested the shooter, along with a person who was at the apartment and had an outstanding warrant. Police also said they arrested a third person, but didn't say why. It's unclear where Lee fits into those arrests.
