Lee Muldoon, 23, faces a charge of first degree murder and child endangerment causing death.

COGGON - Linn County Sheriff's department says a 23-year old man killed a two-year old child he was living with. It happened earlier this summer at a house in Coggon.

Skylar Inman live here with her mother and her mother's boyfriend. Then in early July sheriff's deputies were called here to the home and they found Skylar unresponsive and not breathing.

Then Inman was taken to St. Lukes hospital where she later died from her injuries. The sheriff's office won't say exactly what kind of injuries she had.

Now her mother's boyfriend, Lee James Muldoon has been charged with first degree murder nearly two months after her death. He is now at the Jones County jail and is scheduled to appear in court Wednesday morning.

Neighbors told me the man kept to himself and few people knew him well but they never expected anything like this would happen here.
