MAQUOKETA (AP) - Generac Power Systems is cutting an unspecified number of jobs at its Maquoketa facility.

The company's chief marketing officer, Clement Feng says the Waukesha, Wisc.- based company will move many of the positions to other company operations in Wisconsin. He did not say if the company was shuddering its Iowa operations outright.

Feng says economic conditions, particularly in the housing market, were creating the need for the job reductions locally.

Generac Power Systems is a privately held manufacturing company.
