Iowa City Man Faces Charges for Assaulting Officer, Bar Staff

IOWA CITY - Iowa City police shoot a man with a taser after he assaults bar staff and an officer.

Kyle Howald, 21, got into a fight with employees at the Filedhouse Bar.

Police ordered him to stop fighting and to get on the ground.

They say Howald continued disobeying orders, resisting and elbowing an officer trying to take him into custody. He was tasered shortly afterward.

No one was seriously hurt.
