Baby Alligator Surfaces After Flood
CEDAR RAPIDS - An unusual creature has surfaced in Iowa following the flood. Meet Webster the baby alligator.
Officials say two boys came across it in the town of Webster City in late June, thus the name Webster. Animal experts say it is illegal to house such an animal in Iowa. And they say that might be why no one has claimed the gator. Blank Park Zoo in Des Moines plans to give it a home. Also, Blank Park Zoo is offering free admission to tornado and flood victims this week (August 11th-15th). They hope families heading to the State Fair might stop by. Blank Park Zoo Website.
