Funeral for Army Nurse Killed in North Carolina

DUBUQUE (AP) - Funeral services will be held next week in Dubuque for an Army nurse killed in North Carolina.

The body of 2nd Lt. Holley Wimunc, of Dubuque, was discovered July 13, three days after a suspicious fire at her Fayetteville apartment.

Wimunc's husband, Marine Cpl. John Wimunc, is charged in her death. A fellow Marine is charged with helping him commit the crime.

Holley Wimunc was based at Fort Bragg. Her body was found in a wooded area near the southern border of Camp Lejeune, about 130 miles southeast of Fayetteville.

Wimunc's funeral will be held on Tuesday at the Cathedral of St. Raphael in Dubuque.
