The Tax collectors I mean police officers break more laws trying to enforce them than any citizen. If it were legal I would have a radar ka in my car and take down police numbers, they are way out of control. I wish their city could see them speeding without lights.

How much faster did the police officer have to go to catch up from a complete stop....

Just because he had a gun DOESN'T mean he isn't a good caring guy and to say he isn't normal. He has no criminal background a good education. So by him having a gun means he is a bad guy. I don't think so. I cannot believe the negative thoughts about this situation. No one has ever had a friend or relative that has never done anything stupid before. WOW we must have alot of angels on this earth. I'm sure he has requets and hopely will learn from his mistakes. My prayers are with you Joe!!

To 3:22 PM Anonymous........ I'm sorry but If I was going 117 mph and there was a cop right on my @$$ regardless of lights or not I'm pretty sure I would be well aware they were chasing me!!! LOL WOW!! Where is the common sense around here!

To ALL of you "GOOD PEOPLE" that "DON"T BREAK THE LAW", You never rolled through a stop sign? You always slow clear down to 45 before the 45 mph speed limit sign? You never turned a corner without using the turn signal?... bull s@#t! I don't know anyone who has not broken the law at some time or another while driving, GET OFF IT! I don't know the kid but this may be his first offence & he may be a good kid, just one that made a bad decision. Getting caught might help keep him a good kid.

how fast did the cop speed (from a complete stop) to catch him? Answer: Much faster than the criminal.....but safer by some messed up logic

Kimberly Koelker, I am sorry, but when I was a kid, I did not keep a handgun with me at all times. Yes, I did get into occasional trouble, but any normal kid with a handgun is not normal. So, no I dont feel sorry for him. I myself would have felt sorry for the deer too.

Yes we all learn from our mistakes, but like it was mentioned, who would you feel when this "good kid" killed your family member because 117 mph is not a safe speed. The Cops did their job and thank them for keeping this criminal off of the streets. Twenty one years old is not a kid, that is adult who knows better. I had a issue when i was younger, served my time, learned from it, and have not had a issue since. Thank God he did not hurt himself or anyone else.
Friday, Jul 25 at 12:00 AM Mike wrote ...
Everyone is calling him a kid. It says he is 21. He is now a adult. And not a very responsible one at that. He is lucky that nobody was killed even him.
Thursday, Jul 24 at 11:59 PM Anonymous wrote ...
I really wish KCRG would explain why he had a gun. I realize that everyone gets into trouble now and again, but to be going at least 52 miles over the speed limit and to not stop when you know there's a cop after you, AND to have a gun? That's just plain stupid. What if he would have killed someone? Would you still make excuses for him? And as for the "give the kid a break he is a kid with a camaro, what do you expect" comment; to answer your question- he's 21, I would expect him to know better.

Have any of you "judging" people ever, swore, stolen anything (even a grape at the grocery store), lied, lusted (to look at someone and think, I would like to...)or any of the 10 commandments? If so, God's Word says,"for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." Romans 3:23 But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. What is so innacurate about this article? This isn't the only website that says this guy carried a weapon. www.thonline.com has the same information as this article. Maybe your family member isn't telling you everything. It's still against the law to drive that fast, running from the cops, or carry a weapon so how does that make a good caring person?

I dont care if the article was poorly written by a high school student! This punk kid broke the law and if at the least the person who wrote the article was accurate in saying he had a concealed weapon and was driving OVER 100 mph, than I'm sorry he's not "a good kid". I never had run ins with the law when I was a kid because oh get this, I didn't break the law, go figure. GIVE ME A BREAK as the guy on 20/20 says. Great article btw

Where in this story does it state the guy was on a bike??? Since it says he was clocked driving at 117 miles per hour. I would think he was in an automobile. IF it would have stated he was clocked riding at 117 miles per hour I would think he was on a bike. DUH!!! Learn to read and comprehend what you are reading. Yes I too would feel bad for the deer had that happened. Thank GOD no one was out for a walk or jogging on that road when this chase took place.
