Man Leads Police on Chase, Speeds Reach 117 mph

GRANT COUNTY, WI - A man is facing charges after leading a sheriff's deputy on a high-speed chase.

It all happened in Potosi Township around nine o'clock last night.

The Sheriff's Office says 21-year-old Joseph Koelker of Cassville refused to stop for a deputy after being clocked driving at *117 miles per hour.

Koelker took off... continuing to drive at speeds in excess of one-hundred miles per hour. He eventually stopped.

A deputy found a handgun during a search.

Authorities arrested Koelker for knowlingly fleeing an officer and carrying a concealed weapon.
