Braley: Agencies Contradicted Each Other on Raid

By Becky Ogann

DES MOINES (AP) - Two federal agencies have contradicted each other over whether they communicated before a raid at a northeast Iowa meatpacking plant in May.

That's according to Iowa Congressman Rep. Bruce Braley.

The 1st District Democrat sent a letter just days after the May 12 raid to both agencies - the Department of Labor and the Immigration and Customs Enforcement. He also sent the letter to the U.S. Department of Justice.

He asked whether the agencies had cooperated before the raid at Agriprocessors Inc. in Postville.

Braley says the immigration agency said the departments had coordinated. The labor agency said it wasn't notified.

Braley says he'll seek more details about what happened.

Yeah, way to go Braley. Make it your priority now to crack down on the authorities who dared to round up the illegals ... you know, your illegal friends that have been thumbing their noses at our laws. Maybe you can fly to DC a few times and participate in a blue ribbon panel to investigate the matter to ensure we don't offend any aliens in the future. Frankly Mr. Braley, you're an idiot.

Somebody Tell Rep. Braley...They had a immigration raid at Agriprocessors, Inc in this fair state. They were employing illegal aliens. Nearly 500,000 jobs lost in the USA and businesses employ illegal aliens. I didn't vote for that did you? Should ask Rep. Braley if Iowa government officials are co-operating with federal laws or just getting kickbacks? I don't know who are better crooks, our government officials or the illegals that have exploited the weaknesses of or own system?

End any chance of complaints against police departments, (ICE) Immigration Enforcement, Marshall's, by pursuing the pariah employer. Funding is limited under current immigration laws, because Democrats have gutted most appropriations. Instead of going after illegal immigrants, that can lead to mistakes. We must enact the Federal SAVE ACT (H.R.4088) and go after the real culprits. They are the predatory businesses that ignore Immigration laws. Facts at NUMBERSUSA

Too bad Janet Reno didn't get involved somehow. The plant would have been burned down before discussing who didn't coordinate with who.

What is the point of this? Were they illegals? If so, what difference does any of this make? I guess I just don't get it.
