DES MOINES (AP) - Governor Culver has named the members of a commission created to assess the impact of severe weather and flooding in Iowa.

Culver says the group's chairman will be Adjutant Gen. Ron Dardis of the Iowa National Guard.

The governor says the commission's work will require the experience and talents of people from a wide range of backgrounds.

The group consists of people from across Iowa and includes Democrats, Republicans and independents.

The commission is asked to provide a report to Culver within 45 days on the impact the storms and flooding have had on the state.

It will also provide a long-term strategy for rebuilding by November 1st.
