Scouts to Meet President

(OMAHA) - A group of Boy Scouts who were at a camp hit
by a deadly tornado will get to meet President Bush in Washington
at the end of the month.
The Boy Scouts of America Mid-America Council says the trip is
for the Scouts who attended the leadership camp in Little Sioux,
Iowa. Four boys were killed when a tornado struck the camp June 11.
The camp is about 40 miles north of Omaha, and many of the
Scouts are from Nebraska.
Boy Scouts representatives say the visit to Washington is July
30-31, and includes a tour of the White House.
The Boy Scouts say it will cost $1.8 million to rebuild the
camp.

I just hope this trip makes it more likely they'll build 4 earth-and-prairie-covered Monolithic Domes for tornado shelters. I suggested this directly right away.

You may think it may have been a fancy one, but most buildings in a Boy Scout Camp are nothing but Metal or Wood. Not much protection, and if you got a tornado coming, you have seconds to find a ditch or you're dead, that's pathetic.

makes me wished that I was a Boy Scout back in my younger days! Not a big fan of Prez Bush, but still, meeting the leader of the USA would be really neat and something not to forget.

Must have been a fancy camp. That's a lot of money. Best wishes to these boys. It must have been a hard situation to deal with.
