Man Taken to Hospital Following Crash

IOWA CITY - Iowa City police say one man went to the hospital after his plane crashed at the west end of the airport.

Police say the plane caught fire when it went down, shortly before 6 p.m. Thursday. They say witnesses might be able to help explain what happened.

The FAA was supposed to arrive late this evening to investigate.

Authorities have not yet released the name of the pilot.
